Jana Dougan, your primary designer and finish artist at Fireweed Fine Finish, was born and raised in the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Alberta.

Her introduction into the world of possibilities of paint began when she was hired as an apprentice to work on the world renowned Banff Springs Hotel. This castle in the rockies underwent a major remodel in the early 2000’s, and required the faux artists to replicate the tile Tindlestone, that the hotel was originally constructed with.

From here, Jana went on to learn decorative plaster applications, murals, faux finishes, wallpaper hanging, and all aspects of production painting. Jana still approaches every project with the attention to detail that was instilled in her so many years ago on the Banff Springs project.

She is currently residing in Whitehorse, YT, and is accepting inquiries for new projects.
